Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026

The Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition returns as one of the UK's most anticipated cultural events, bringing together work by established artists, emerging talent, Royal Academicians, and members of the public. Spanning painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, film, and digital art, the exhibition offers a vibrant snapshot of contemporary art and ideas.

Curated by Ryan Gander, the 2026 exhibition is themed Interconnectedness, exploring the relationships, associations, and unexpected connections that link people, ideas, and creative practices. Works from all disciplines are displayed together throughout the galleries, encouraging dialogue across different media and perspectives.

Alongside the art, visitors can enjoy late openings, social spaces including the in-gallery gin bar, and the opportunity to purchase many of the exhibited works. More than an exhibition, the Summer Exhibition remains a unique annual celebration of creativity, community, and contemporary culture.
