This show brings together provocative works that explore illusion, irony, and cultural reflection. Gavin Turk contributes Giraffe (cockney rhyming slang for laugh) a bronze sculpture of a dried banana - a nod to Maurizio Cattelan’s art meme. Through alchemy and parody, Turk questions authorship and authenticity, turning a throwaway object into an enduring monument. Set within Akita’s industrial heritage, the exhibition invites dialogue between material and meaning, humour and history. Featuring international artists from The Taguchi Art Collection.
